GUIDED BIKE TOUR OF MELBOURNE:
Cycle through the streets of Melbourne and discover why this city is considered the most liveable city in the world! In a small group (8 people maximum), you will explore Melbourne for 4 hours, accompanied by a local guide. One of the specificities of this excursion is that there is no pre-established itinerary: everything is à la carte! Depending on your interests, your desires and your level of cycling, your guide will suggest the circuit that suits you. Day 3: Melbourne - Gippsland
ECOTOUR TO DISCOVER THE BIODIVERSITY OF EAST GIPPSLAND (Eco-Responsible ☘️)

This excursion is an immersion in the magnificent forests with varied biodiversity of East Gippsland, the coastal wilderness of southeastern Australia. By participating in a wild koala research eco-project, removing fishing nets and plastic from beaches, and conducting surveys into wildlife regeneration after bushfires, you will actively contribute to preserving our nature. These activities nevertheless remain optional and last 30 minutes per day. You will have plenty of time to photograph wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, wild koalas among giant eucalyptus trees, walk in tropical forests listening to lyre birds and cockatoos.
You will meet your naturalist guide to take the road to East Gippsland.
Your exploration begins in the Lakes District's RAMSAR wetlands, rich in waterbirds, before traveling to a sanctuary island, home to a thriving colony of wild koalas, echidnas, kangaroos, parrots and birds sailors. The region's lush eucalyptus forests, pristine estuaries and white sandy beaches are home to a wealth of wildlife and you can record sightings of these species for conservation purposes.

Today you will visit the Gippsland mountain forests, both dry and wet, their diversity explains the abundance of fauna and flora. You will travel to the famous Snowy River, and walk along a wild stream, with ever-changing landscapes that will captivate you at every turn.
Your naturalist guide will explain the formation of these forests, and help you look for Lyre birds, parrots and satin gardeners, monitor lizards, and swamp wallabies. Birds and reptiles are abundant, but you will encounter few other human visitors.
Back at your Bed & Breakfast you will be served a classic Australian dinner.

A morning walk through the lowland humid temperate rainforest will provide an opportunity to look for birds such as Topknot Pigeons, Superb Lyre Birds, Brown Gerygones, Black-faced Monarchs and also Platypuses and Swamp Wallabies. (this area was not burned). Next, you'll walk through coastal heath and along a forest-lined river - this area adjoins a burnt area, so it's particularly important to study the wildlife there.
Visiting a 90-mile complex dune system and beach offers spectacular coastal views, and will allow you to spot white-bellied sea eagles, cockatoos, kingfishers, swans, psophodes black-headed and huge Goanna lizards as well as Australian fur seals. We will also spend some time removing old fishing nets or trash that often trap and kill sea creatures.
Dinner tonight is a picnic in the bush overlooking the beach (weather permitting). On the way back to our house we search the plains for red-necked wallabies, eastern gray kangaroos and bare-nosed wombats (common).

Day 6: Gippsland - Melbourne
This morning you will leave Gippsland after a final visit to the beach at the mouth of the Snowy River. Along the way, you will visit the Krowathunkoolong Keeping Place, an informative Aboriginal cultural center located in Bairnsdale. You will discover how the Aboriginal people lived among these captivating landscapes for thousands of years.
Return to Melbourne late in the afternoon.

Day 7: Melbourne - Geelong
ECOTOUR ON THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD (Eco-Responsible ☘️)

This tour is an opportunity to discover one of the most beautiful coasts in Australia (and there are many!), the Great Ocean Road while highlighting the richness of the surrounding fauna. Experience unforgettable sunsets over vibrantly colored limestone cliffs, including the famous Twelve Apostles. Walk through dense rainforests of lush tree ferns and explore ancient volcanoes and plains. Led by a naturalist guide who is an expert in wildlife, you will discover the emblematic species of the region such as kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, royal parrots, emus, rosellas, robins, Honeyeaters ) and many others.
Departure with your naturalist guide for a hike in the heart of the bush in You Yangs National Park. The latter has great significance for the Wathaurong Aboriginal people. You will meet wild kangaroos, emus and koalas and will also have the opportunity to see many parrots, wallabies, opossums and lizards in their natural habitat.
You will also enjoy a picnic dinner in the bush surrounded by nature.
You contribute to the protection of koalas by your presence on the tour, part of the price of the excursion is donated to research. If you wish, you will also have the opportunity to help your guide list the animals encountered during the day, collect information about the environment, remove some weeds or even pick up any rubbish found.
These actions are entirely optional. Only your presence is enough to help wildlife by supporting this nature protection program.

Day 8: Geelong - Great Ocean Road
Today you will discover the magnificent coastal landscapes of the Great Ocean Road, before walking through the magnificent temperate rainforests of Otway National Park with its impressive tree ferns. Your naturalist guide will help you find parrots, kookaburras, koalas, wallabies, echidnas, lizards and brightly colored birds that call the coastal heaths home. The panoramas of the Twelve Apostles and the gorges of Loch Ard are striking, and we will tell you about the shipwrecks of yesteryear.
You will spend the night in a B&B near Port Campbell.

Day 9: Port Campbell - Melbourne
After a last look at the coast in the morning light, you will venture into the vast prairies of the Western Plains. Created by intense volcanic activity over the past two million years, the 7,000 volcanoes of the Western Plains are now extinct, but the resulting savannah provides pasture for a rich wool-growing area.
You will reach the summit of an extinct volcano with a spectacular view of the plains. From the summit, you will see some of the hundreds of volcanic lakes that dot the plains. It's a great place to view raptors - birds of prey - including white-tailed eagles, Nankeen kestrels and sharp-shinned hawks. Further on, you will pass by Lake Corangamite, Australia's largest permanent lake, often covered with prolific birdlife.
Return to Melbourne late in the afternoon.

Gain some height by going to the top of the Eureka Tower where you will have a magnificent panorama of all of Melbourne... The possibilities are numerous! TRAVEL BY “OVERLAND” TRAIN FROM MELBOURNE TO ADELAIDE: (in red service class)
The OVERLAND is an ideal way to get to Adelaide from Melbourne. The first connection dates from 1887, since then this train has continued to connect the two states. The Overland is adorned with an emu, Australia's emblematic animal known for its speed and grace.
The journey between Melbourne and Adelaide takes approximately 10.5 hours.

ENCOUNTER WITH THE WILDLIFE OF THE EYRE PENINSULA (3 days / 3 nights)
Explore the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, and discover its spectacular flora and fauna. This wild and protected region offers a unique and unforgettable experience. There are kangaroos, emus, koalas and many birds. On the beach side, the Eyre Peninsula offers wild landscapes and long sandy beaches, where you will also swim with sea lions and dolphins.
Your English-speaking guide will greet you at Port Lincoln Airport upon arrival.
Direction Big Swamp and its lake which is home to diverse wildlife. Its eucalyptus forest and this body of water are the preferred habitat of waders including the pink-eared duck, plovers, swans and also water turtles, and endemic fish, which makes it today one of Australia's most important wetlands. Then, enter the magnificent Coffin Bay which strikes you with its peaceful beauty. You will go on a cruise with a local oyster farmer where you can observe seabirds, seals and dolphins and learn about oyster farming. (tasting and lunch included).
After dinner, you continue your discovery of Coffin Bay National Park to see emus, goannas, kangaroos, white-bellied sea eagles and ospreys.

Day 13: Port Lincoln - Baird Bay
Today you will visit Baird Bay to swim with Australian sea lions and bottlenose dolphins. Experiencing sea lions in their natural environment is considered one of the greatest interactive experiences in the ocean, as they are fast, agile and playful like puppies. A visit to the Talia Caves and Cummings Monument will give you spectacular, uninterrupted views of the rugged limestone cliffs, iconic to the Great Australian Bight.

A 4x4 tour of Lincoln National Park will give you stunning views at every turn. Mallee's eroded cliffs, vast sand dunes and eucalyptus trees provide habitat for kangaroos, emus, Grey-breasted Miros, Australian Pipits, Rock Parakeets and Rough Skinks.

Day 16: Adelaide - Flinders Ranges National Park
4-DAY HIKE IN THE FLINDERS RANGES

Heading north from Adelaide, you'll bypass the small country towns of Virgina, Two Wells and Dublin. Lunch on the banks of Lake Bumbunga and you will pass the famous Snowtown, Redhill, Port Pirie and Port Germein, before making another stop at the historic railway town of Quorn. You will arrive at Arkaba Homestead around 5 p.m., time to freshen up before enjoying your dinner.

Day 17: Flinders Ranges National Park
After your breakfast you will reach the start of the hike after a short journey of 35 minutes. The distance to cover is around 13km, most of it is on the flat part inside Wilpena Pound, you will have a short climb to reach the ridge of the Pound, before a steeper descent of around 1km into the Arkaba Wilderness and Black's Gap Signature Swag Camp.
You'll arrive at camp around 5:30 p.m., in time to settle in, take a hot shower in the bush (with a view!) and enjoy a pre-dinner drink and canape service as the sun sets behind the foothills by Wilpena Pound. This converted camp is located between the Bunbinyana Range and Wilpena Pound, a site previously occupied by a shepherd in the late 1850s. His stone chimney still exists and we camp overlooking the stream where he used to take his water. Your guide and the camp assistant will prepare you a dinner under the stars and accompanied by a local South Australian wine. Enjoy some bush stories, the good old campfire, and retire to your Swag for an unforgettable night under starry skies.

Day 18: Flinders Ranges National Park
Today is arguably the most picturesque day, you will leave Black's Gap and head into the hills more suited to the sheep farming activities that previously took place on the property. The first 2 kilometers will follow the famous Heysen Trail through Black's Gap itself, revealing a fascinating insight into the pastoral history of the area, with breaks at old shepherds' camps, with red and gray kangaroos and emus regularly observed. The last part of the day will take you after a good climb of one kilometer to the summit of the Red Range at around a hundred meters above sea level from where you will have a magnificent panorama of the Ikara - Flinders range. You will then pass at the foot of the Elder Range with its impressive native cypress trees.
Your luggage will have been transported by vehicle to your next camp, Elder Camp. A hot bush shower, dinner and another special night under the big Australian skies await you.

Day 19: Flinders Ranges National Park
After waking up in the morning light and having breakfast, you will walk to the foot of the Elder Range. Passing through Mallee and native pine forests you will arrive at Slaty Creek which can hold valuable water during the dry season, sometimes even offering the opportunity to drink from clear, icy springs. Going up the Red Range and down to the banks of the shady and picturesque Arkaba Creek, bordered by River Red Gums, you will have the opportunity to observe a number of birds including galas, parrots and honeyeaters. These watering holes ensure the survival of kangaroos, parrots and emus which you will certainly be able to photograph. You will arrive at the Arkaba Homestead mid-afternoon and will have time to relax. Tonight, enjoy a curated feast and a guided tour of the clearest skies in the Southern Hemisphere, set against mountains half a billion years old.

Day 20: Flinders Ranges National Park - Adelaide
Departure around 8:30 a.m. after breakfast for your transfer to Adelaide via the Clare Valley wine region. You'll pass through the historic outback towns of Quorn, Wilmington, Mount Remarkable and Melrose, all famous for their nature-filled valleys and riverbeds. Lined with towering red gum trees, the land around these towns is home to a multitude of native Australian animals and birds.
Departing from Melrose, you will enter the beautiful Clare Valley, a region famous for its wines where you will have dinner and taste some wines before continuing to Adelaide where you will arrive around 5 p.m.
