Day 1:Arrival in San Francisco

Arrival in San Francisco. Check into your hotel for the night.

Day 2: San Francisco

Day 4:San Francisco - Las Vegas

Transfer to San Francisco airport and flight to Las Vegas. Pick-up of rental car at Las Vegas airport. Pick-up of camping equipment at our local correspondent's office.

Day 5: Las Vegas - Grand Canyon

Last drive in Las Vegas, then on to the Grand Canyon via the historic Route 66. Turn up the sound in your car to get into the exhilarating retro atmosphere of this road, and don't miss a stop in Seligman. Discover the breathtaking Grand Canyon National Park: a succession of short walks will take you to its most beautiful vantage points. Optional activity: Helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon, tour with Ecostar

Day 6: Grand Canyon

Visit the must-see Grand Canyon National Park. Follow our advice via your roadbook to select the best walks and hikes from the multitude of possibilities. Hikes into the canyon, right up to the edge of the Colorado (to be prepared carefully).

Day 7: Grand Canyon - Page

Hit the road for Page and Lake Powell. Stop off at Horseshoe Bend to admire this aesthetic meander of the Colorado River, visit the famous Antelope Canyon, then enjoy the lake by renting kayaks to explore the many canyons at your own pace. Optional activity: Kayak down the Colorado River from Lake Powell

Day 8: Page - Monument Valley

Enjoy a last swim in the lake before heading off to the mythical Monument Valley. Discover these famous landscapes seen in John Ford's Westerns in its most beautiful light at sunset, by car on your own, or on a guided 4x4 or horseback excursion.

Day 9: Monument Valley - Moab

On your way to Moab you can discover the Goosenecks State Park and the breathtaking Needles region south of south of Canyonlands Park. Optional activity: 4x4 tour of Canyonlands National Park Canyonlands National Park

Day 10: Moab

Day dedicated to discovering Canyonlands National Park, Deadhorse Point State Park and Arches National Park. Optional activity: Day bike rental in Moab

Day 11: Moab - Salt Lake City

Head to Salt Lake City to visit its Museum of Contemporary Art Natural History Museum, Temple Square and the U.S. Capitol.

Day 12: Salt Lake City - Grand Teton

Pass through Antelope Island to discover the Great Salt Lake. Optional activity: Rafting on the Snake River

Day 13: Grand Teton

Spend the day visiting Grand Teton National Park: we recommend a hike to Taggart Lake, or taking the cable car to the top of the Teton mountains for an exceptional view.

Day 14: Grand Teton - Cody

Crossing Grand Teton National Park, then crossing Yellowstone Park from south to east: Grand Prismatic. Old Faithful Great Yellowstone Lake and West Thumb. Stopover in Cody. Optional activities: All-terrain vehicle excursion into Red Canyon Canyon to meet wild Mustangs Country dinner and Rodeo evening at the Cody Festival Nite Rodeo

Day 15: Cody - Gardiner

Enter Yellowstone from the north on the Beartooth Highway, one of the most beautiful roads in the country! Discover the superb Lamar Valley, where you can observe wildlife Tower Fall and the breathtaking natural formation of Mammoth Hot Springs.

Day 16: Gardiner - Yellowstone
