Day 1: Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu
Namasté , welcome to Kathmandu. You are greeted by your French-speaking guide at the airport, then you are transferred to your hotel. Enjoy this free day to relax or take your first steps in Nepal, especially in the Thamel district, to stroll through the small shopping streets. The ancient city of Kathmandu was built by the daughter of Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century. Kathmandu was the capital of several dynasties such as the Licchavis, the Guptas, the Shahs and the Mallas. It still houses many palaces as well as many Hindu temples and statues. Discover this unique and spiritual city, and immerse yourself in its history.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Discovering the Nepalese capital
Climb to discover the dome at Swayambunath temple, also called Monkey temple, which watches over the royal cities. You can enjoy the view from the heights of Kathmandu. Continue with the visit of the famous Boudhanath, one of the main Buddhist sanctuaries. It arouses absolute admiration and faith not only from the Buddhist point of view, but the Hindus of Nepal also give their respect to this pious Buddhist site. You then head to the site of Pashupatinath, which is the most important Hindu temple in Nepal! Live a sacred experience amidst the venerable statues, temples and cremation ceremonies on the banks of the river. Night at the hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur

Route to Kathmandu Valley
This morning we leave Kathmandu towards Panauti. We stop at Bhaktapur, an ancient imperial city. Patan Durbar Square is Bhaktapur is the quintessential Newari city and has one of the most beautiful architectures in Nepal. At its peak (14th-16th centuries), Bhaktapur was the most powerful of the kingdoms in the Kathmandu Valley and its capital for 300 years. Despite earthquakes and frequent reconstructions, Bhaktapur today retains a medieval appearance. Its neighborhoods are still caste-oriented and centered on the ancient ponds or reservoirs which continue to be the social center. These ponds are still a point of social convergence. Night at the hotel.

Day 4:Bhaktapur - Panauti

The typical village of Panauti
Explore the magnificent monuments of Panauti on a short hike of about 3 hours. The starting point, Sanga Bhanjyang, is just outside the eastern edge of the Kathmandu Valley, and will be better known to most people as the location of the world's tallest statue of Shiva. Be sure to enjoy this walk before driving to the Choeling Tashi Neydo Monastery in Pharping. A stopover to indulge in meditation and study of Buddhism. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Panauti - Pharping

In the heart of the village of Kurintar
After breakfast, you drive from Pharping to the typical village of Kurintar, a 4-hour drive accompanied by your guide and driver. Pharping is one of the most beautiful places in the Kathmandu region. The city and its surroundings are home to several important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, as well as a number of Buddhist institutions, as well as many Buddhist monasteries and meditation centers. You will then have some free time to stroll through the streets or relax. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Pharping - Chitwan

First steps in Chitwan National Park The drive from Pharping via Kathmandu, on one of the country’s busiest roads, can be slow, but once you’re out of town the views are impressive: the Trishuli River, ancient stone villages backed by rice terraces, precarious suspension bridges and the mountains beyond. At Mugling, turn south, slowly descending from the central hills into the fertile lowlands of the Western Terai and Chitwan National Park. Upon arrival at the lodge, you’ll be given an introduction to the activities ahead. Afterwards, you’ll be given a visit to the Tharu village. To round off the day, take a boat for a sunset cruise. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Chitwan

Safari up close to wild animals
This day is dedicated to you so that you can go and discover the Chitwan National Park. On the program: Jeep ride for a safari that you will only experience here. The park is home to tigers, rhinos, sloths, leopards, crocodiles and more than 400 species of birds. A Tharu cultural dance program will complete this already magical day. Night at the hotel.

Day 8: Chitwan - Pokhara

On the way to Pokhara
From the dense forest and fertile lowlands of Chitwan, you drive to Pokhara (estimated 6 hours drive). Pokhara is best known for its beautiful lakes. The valley’s wealth of pure natural beauty is indeed one of the major attractions for visitors from all over the world. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the mountains like Machhapuchhare and the Annapurna range rising behind it, create an ambience of peace and magic. A small unusual walk awaits you in the afternoon to admire the traditional architecture of this Newar village and meet its inhabitants who will be remembered for a long time. Walk in the evening to the Tundikhel esplanade for the sunset.

Day 9: Pokhara

Day in the heart of Pokhara
Early morning, you are transferred to Sarangkot for sunrise, after which you leave for a visit to Tal Bahari Temple. The temple is the symbol of the manifestation of Ajima, which represents the feminine force. Then proceed to Devi's Fall, a waterfall located in Pokhara in Kaski district. The water forms an underground tunnel after reaching the bottom. This tunnel extends for about 500 feet and is 100 feet below the ground level. Finally, end with a visit to Gupteswar Cave. Located southeast of Chhorepatan in Pokhara, Gupteswar Mahadev Cave is believed to be 599 years old. While local youths discovered that an object resembling an idol of Lord Shiva was naturally formed at this place. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Pokhara - Kathmandu

Back to the Nepalese capital
After breakfast, transfer from the hotel to the airport and fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu (approximately 25 minutes). Then drop your bags at the hotel before heading to Durbar Square. Listed as one of the eight World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, the square is known as the social, religious and urban center of the capital. Continue with a visit to Thamel, the commercial district of the capital of Nepal. Thamel has been the center of Kathmandu's tourism industry for over forty years. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Kathmandu

last day in nepal
Wake up and make the most of the time you have left in this wonderful country that is Nepal. Take a walk and soak up the atmosphere of Kathmandu one last time. Enjoy the smiles of the people around you, the original architecture, the scents each more captivating than the last. Depending on your flight times, your driver will take you to the airport.
