Day 1: Arrival in Naples

Flight to Naples. Reception and transfer to the hotel. First discovery of the city according to flight schedules. Free dinner and night in Naples. Accommodation/meals: night + breakfast in *** hotel

Day 2: Island of Capri - Naples

Boat crossing to reach the island of Capri. Our hike will take us to Monte Tiberio to enjoy the superb view of the Sorrento peninsula. We continue to the famous rock which forms a natural arc then the -faraglioni-. We arrive quietly in the city center where the famous -piazzetta- is located. Swimming possible. In the afternoon, transfer by boat to Naples. Free dinner and night in Naples. Day 3: Vesuvius - Pompeii - Agelora

After breakfast, transfer by private bus to 1000m on the slopes of Vesuvius, where we begin our hike to the crater, located at 1150m above sea level. Discovery of the crater with a local guide, then continuation to the site of Pompeii. This site is a testimony to Antiquity, where lava forever frozen man in his activity after being buried by the ashes of Vesuvius in the year 79. It is also the largest open-air archaeological site of the world. Guided tour with a specialized guide (2 hours), before taking the road in a private minibus to the village of Agerola. Day 4: Agelora - Pogerala - Valley of the mills - Amalfi

From the Agerola plateau we leave along paths still used by mules to unload wood. Passing through the mountain we will reach Pogerola overlooking the famous Moulins valley. It is here that the paper for Amalfi navigation maps was made for centuries (possible visit to the Paper Museum installed in an old mill). Descending into the valley we will reach Amalfi, a powerful maritime republic from the beginning of the 9th century (optional visit to the Cloister of Paradise and the Duomo). Return to Agerola by private bus. Dinner and overnight in Agerola. Day 5: Ridges of the Lattari Mountains

Departing from the hotel, loop excursion on the Agerola ridges, between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno, in the Lattari Mountains Regional Natural Park. Overlooking the Amalfi Coast and the numerous canyons that cut it, the view extends from Vesuvius to the Cilento Mountains, on the other side of the Gulf of Salerno. Dinner and overnight in Agerola. Day 6: Canneto Valley and Ravello

Departing from Amalfi, we will pass through the hilltop villages overlooking the Canneto valley before arriving at Ravello, whose central square of calm beauty is dominated by the Duomo dedicated to Saint Pantaleone whose blood, like that of San Gennaro in Naples liquefies every year. From the village, overlooking the sea by more than 350 m, the view extends to the Cilento mountains (optional visit to Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo). Via winding streets reminiscent of the other side of the Mediterranean we will reach Amalfi (swimming possible). Dinner and overnight in Agerola. Day 7: Paths of the Gods

Balcony hike along the Sentier des Dieux, a hillside path which linked isolated villages, tiny cultivated terraces and pergola vineyards until the 19th century. Walking among the boxwoods and fragrant rosemary, we can see the entire peninsula from Capri to the Gulf of Salerno. We will admire the centuries-old work of developing these steep terrains due to the need to find refuge during the -barbarian- invasions which followed the fall of the Roman Empire. The monastery of San Domenico built in the middle of the mountain also bears witness to these troubled times. After Montepertuso, overlooked by its pierced rock, we will descend via the marine cemetery to Positano whose colorful houses in an amphitheater overlooking the sea give the village a Moorish appearance. Day 8: Agelora - Naples - Return
