Day 2: Bogota
Visit to the National Museum of Colombia, where we will explore the history and culture of the
country through its various exhibitions and collections. Our guide will take us on a fascinating
journey through the most significant events that shaped the country.
Continue to Cerro de Monserrate, one of the highest points in Bogotá and iconic symbol of the
city that offers one of the best panoramic views of Bogotá.
We will go to La Candelaria, the historic center of Bogotá. We will walk through its cobblestone
and colonial streets while our guide immerses us in the history and important events that occurred
in this region.

Our next stop will be the famous Gold Museum (closed on Mondays), recognized as one of the
most prominent museums in the world.

With your English-speaking guide then discover the magic of coffee production on a traditional
coffee farm, leaving from Salento on an exciting excursion by Willys jeep. The experience begins
with a tour through lush landscapes and unique biodiversity, to understand the complex process
of coffee, from seed to cup. Along the way, you'll delve into the secrets of the soils and growing
techniques that make the coffee of this region so special. You will learn about the careful selection
of ripe beans and the importance of harvesting at the right time to ensure the quality of the coffee.

Day 4: Cocora
Departure to discover the majestic Cocora Valley, known for housing the Palm of Wax, national
symbol of Colombia, reaching up to 70 meters high. This valley invites you to enjoy a 2-hour walk,
exploring its mountain trails.

This route takes you to discover the charm of Filandia, a small coffee town located about 40
minutes from Salento. Its vibrantly colored facades create a true work of urban art, which has
earned it recognition from the World Tourism Organization as winner of the Best Tourist Village
2023 program. Visit to the Bejuco al Canasto Interpretation Center.

Day 5: Medellin
Transfer to Pereira airport with driver only and flight to Medellín.
Arrival in Medellín and transfer to your hotel.
Visit Medellín accompanied by your English-speaking guide, a city that only 20 years ago was
considered one of the most dangerous in the world due to the reign of Pablo Escobar and the
violence associated with drug trafficking. However, since the early 2000s, Medellín has undergone
a notable transformation with investments in infrastructure and education.
This tour invites you to discover the history of this metropolis and its evolution towards recognition
as one of the most innovative cities in the world and the epicenter of urban art. This phenomenon
has led local authorities to recognize graffiti as a fundamental cultural element of the city.
Throughout its streets you can find countless forms of urban art expressions that reflect the
diversity and vitality of Medellín.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to use the most innovative public transportation
system in the country, immerse yourself in the daily dynamics of downtown Medellín and explore
the escalators of Comuna 13, which have had a positive impact on the community. In addition to
enjoying a guided tour by local artists, visitors will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the
artistic, cultural and political context of graffiti in Medellín, understanding its different styles and
learning about its impact on social communication and the city's culture.
Optional: The Fondas discovery
Discover one of the most authentic nightlife experiences in the world Medellín Valley: the "Fondas",
local bars rich in history and culture. These places, located in the city's suburbs, offer exotic
decoration with common objects, traditional appliances, paintings and religious icons that reflect
the rich cultural heritage of the Paisa Culture. Formerly the "Fondas" were meeting points for
farmers from the Andes Mountains, where they enjoyed the typical "Aguardiente" (water of life)
with their mules and horses. Today, these “Fondas” are popular places where locals gather to enjoy
traditional Colombian music and entertainment.
This exciting tour will take you to several local "Fondas", where you will have the opportunity to try
traditional foods and drinks while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and hospitality of the locals.

Next, we will go to the impressive Piedra del Peñól, a majestic rock formation with 740 steps leading
to a spectacular panoramic view of the islands and mountains emerging from the Blue Lake.

Then begins an exciting walking tour of the old city and along the walls, the opportunity to
immerse yourself in the charming atmosphere of the colonial city, explore its narrow streets and
discover the secrets hidden in its centuries-old walls. Expert guides will share fascinating stories

Optional: discover and share with the local community of La Boquilla.
This tour of Cartagena offers travelers a unique and authentic experience. The activity begins with
a walk to La Boquilla, a protected area, guided by the local community. Here, participants will have
the opportunity to delve into a unique gastronomic experience, where they can learn to cook with
locals and discover the flavors and traditions rooted in this rich culture.
Visitors will not only learn how to prepare typical dishes from the region, but will also have the
opportunity to experience up close the way of life of the local community. From fresh ingredients
and traditional cooking techniques to stories shared around the table, every moment will be a
complete immersion.
Optional: Rosario Islands beach
Depart on foot to the port to embark to the Rosario Islands, Majagua beach, located 45 minutes
from the port of Cartagena. These paradisiacal tropical beaches will allow you to rest, swim or do
various sports and water activities such as rowing, canoeing, kayaking, cycling or hiking. Lunch is
included and the return is made after 6 hours of rest, arriving around 3 pm in Cartagena.
