Day 1: Phoenix - Scottsdale

Arrival in Phoenix. Welcome from your French-speaking guide upon your arrival at the Phoenix, AZ airport. Road to Scottsdale by minivan.

Day 2: Scottsdale - Tucson

Early in the morning, hike the Apache Trail to Theodore Roosevelt Lake. The Apache Trail is a historic route frequently used, from the end of the 15th century, by the Apaches who lived in the mountains of southwest Arizona and came down to rob the camps of the Pima tribes who lived below the Superstition Mountains. From Apache Junction to Lake Theodore Roosevelt, it winds through the heart of the Sonoran Desert and offers varied panoramas of mountains and dizzying canyons lined with cacti and wildflowers in spring. Possibility of walking around Lake Roosevelt. Road to Tucson.

Day 3: Tucson

Suggested morning hike in Saguaro National Park. Located in the Sonoran Desert, Saguaro National Park protects desert landscapes where countless cacti flourish, contrasting with a small mountain range. In the afternoon, spend half a day immersed in the conquest of the West! The visit to the Old Tucson studios, made up of around fifty buildings, is an immersion in the decor of Tucson in the mid-19th century. Many westerns, films and television series have been filmed there.

Day 4: Tucson - Las Cruces

In the morning, visit the Mission San Xavier del Bac, renowned for its Spanish colonial architecture. Road to Tombstone and visit the scene of the OK Corral shooting, one of the most significant episodes of the conquest of the West. Refresh yourself in Bisbee, a charming town and visit the old copper and gold mines. Boothill Graveyard is a must-see site where famous legendary figures of the West rest. Route to New Mexico and Las Cruces, founded at the foot of the Organ Mountains.

Day 5: Las Cruces - Carlsbad

Visit White Sands National Park; an extraordinary site; a desert of gypsum sand as far as the eye can see, dazzling white!

Day 6: Carlsbad - Alberquerque

Passage through Roswell where a UFO crashed in 1947. Recommended visit to Fort Sumner, whose museum traces the history of the deportation of the Navajo Indians, "trail of tears".

Day 7: Alberquerque - Santa Fe

We suggest visiting Zia Pueblo Village, then continuing to Valle Caldera National Preserve, then Bandelier National Monument.

Day 8: Santa Fe

Discover Malpais Regional Park or Kasha Katuve Tent Rocks if the site is open. Visit old Santa Fe, the Plaza, St Francis Cathedral, the Governor's Palace and its New Mexico History Museum.

Day 9: Santa Fe - Taos

Free start of the morning in Santa Fe, en route, visit the village of Chimayo on the road to Taos and discovery of the historic district of Taos at the end of the day.

Morning discovery of the gorges of the famous Rio Grande river. In the afternoon, visit the Kit Carson eco-museum which reproduces the way of life of the region's inhabitants in the 19th century. Visit the astonishing Pueblo-style church of Rancho de Taos, the old town of Taos: Pueblo de Taos.
